Veterinarian anatomical charts of THE HORSE

Anatomical school charts / schoolplaat schoolposter HORSE issued by Kluwer Deventer [1895 -1925]., 

For agricultural and veterinarian schools  Wolters = publisher of teaching materials, issued a number of anatomical charts with movable parts ( multilayered pictures ) The older copies were made like the old books with multilayered models. All layers were mounted on top of each other and could be flipped open. The models were about half life-size and it proved to be difficult to use them hanging in front of the classroom.  They improved this teaching model by separating the main layers and adjust them for hanging in front of the class as a single layer. The part with all the superimposed plates of the organs was a separate plate witch was suitable for teaching when laid on a table with the pupils around the table.  

For sale are 5 out of the six plates ( the plate with the organs is missing in this set. )

Because the set is not complete it will be sold as individual plates . If any customer wants to buy the 5 plates together as a collection there will be 15 % discount on the total.

Each plate measures 106 x 95Cm., Plates are centre-folded for storage purposes ( as issued by wolters ) Folds are reinforced with linen on the back. two original small holes punched in upper margin of each plate, reinforced with metal (original), in order to display the plates on the walls of class-rooms, All charts in good condition ., minor soiling e few very small tears along the sides. 

Extremely decorative items for a veterinarian practice specialised in horses.
